Keto Smoothie Bowl... Is that really Keto?!



I'm sure you have seen the latest trend of smoothie bowls right? Literally everyone has been posting about it! And when I say everyone, I mean everyone who lives in Los Angelos California and has an instagram name with "Fit" at the end of it.


It seems to be the next best thing. Celebrities, athletes, and social media stars are all talking about it so it must be good right?! Well not so much if you are doing the keto diet like me. I looked up one of those recipes and quickly realized that the whopping 35grams of carbs in each bowl was a little too much for my lovely max of 20grams per day. So I decided to come up with my own low carb smoothie bowl and it tastes just as delicious as the others and looks pretty darn amazing too! Check out the recipe below and let me know what you think! KETO SMOOTHIE BOWL

Ingredients:

6.5 oz of Plain Greek Yogurt

2 cups of Spinach

8 oz of Unsweetened Almond Milk

1 tbsp MCT Oil

1/4c of Erythritol (I use Swerve Confectioners)

1/4c of Ice Cubes

Toppings:

1 tsp of Hemp Hearts

1 tsp Unsweetened Coconut Flakes

1/2 tsp Chia Seeds

Berries of Choice


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Puree the Spinach and milk until its all blended together. Then add the rest of the ingredients together until smooth.


  1. Pour the green smoothie mixture into a bowl (or big coffee mug). Top with hemp seeds, coconut flakes, and chia seeds. Add berries if using. Enjoy!
